Convert PDFs to Word. Additional PDF services are just a click away. Inside Reader, you can subscribe to activate additional capabilities to create PDF files. 2) If that does not work, then in Adobe, go to Edit Preferences Internet and look under the Web Browser Options you will need to make sure you have it set to 'allow web viewing.' 3) In Internet Explorer, go to Tools Manage Add-ons and make sure the 'Adobe PDF Reader' add-on is enabled.

Note:
When you are using Outlook 2013 on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 or newer, Outlook has native support for previewing pdf-files. Opening pdf-files via a double click will open it in the Reader app and can even be edited in Word 2013. Installing Adobe Reader has therefor become optional.
